It’s been quite some time since I’ve visited but I’m very much enjoying the process catching up in my reader this morning. Thanks for making the whole post available in your feeds. You have a lovely views from your newly repaired/renovated ‘deck’ … I truly relate to being ‘quartered’ to death (seems like it’s always something) … loved the photos of the slough … the beautiful reflections and shadows … the pictures here … and the Thoreau thought. Guess it’ll take me a while to catch up fully because I need to get myself ready for an afternoon outing with a friend in a few minutes, but I wanted to drop in and say ‘howdy’ … just because.

I find the same thing is true in my yard and its surrounding acreage. A bird, a new blossom I didn’t see yesterday….

This post was interesting to me because yesterday I was at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary with Phillip and took photos of signs that said things like, “All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the Web of Life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.” Chief Seattle
My photos didn’t turn out nice like yours….too many shadows on mine.
Phillip would have loved it had we seen a big brown bug/insect like the one in your post.

It looks busy in the woods today.
I tend to sit in the woods longer than I used to because it takes longer to get my “wind” back and rest up for the next 100 feet of trail LOL Have great week
