Blue meditation (walking after Yoga class) at Six Mile Cypress Slough last week.

Sunday stroll at Caloosahatchie Nature Preserve.    The mushroom kind of looks like a butterfly left a self-portrait  on it.

More beauty from our orchid-growing  neighbor here at Upriver Resort.

  1. Love the soft flower images and the gorgeous night ones 🙂

  2. LOVE the title of this post, as it so perfectly reflects the ‘nature’ of its subjects. Yes, definitely small treasures are discovered when one takes the time to stop, and smell the ‘roses’ on their path.
    Beautiful!!

  13. I like this kind of “walk” with all the beauty that surrounds you. The flowers are simply fantastic and the mushroom unusual.

  14. Wonderful flowers! And the moon … fantastic shots!

  15. Wonderful… I wish I could walk with you…

  16. A beautiful series of photos – Florida looks great this time of year. I get a lot of comments about the dogs on mountain trails, people can’t believe I bring my tiny dogs on long hikes but they love it!

  17. Wow. These all really pop. The second group reminds me of a mandala.

  18. You are right. Small treasures are what we find when we go out for a walk. They’re precious.

  19. Excellent photos! You are really a great photography! I love the blue flower!

  21. I love that blue flower. It reminds me of our provincial flower, the Trillium.

  22. Beautiful flowers! You have a good eye to capture that mushroom pattern!

  23. Really interesting and nice photos.

  24. That mushroom did look like it had a butterfly carved into it! All beautiful flowers in your mosaics today, Sallie. The weather has been nice here but the mountains need snow!

  25. Stunning mosaics and I especially love the purple/blue irises.

  26. Your choices are awesome, representing tranquility and life…:)JP

  27. Let beauty surround you, now and always. My goodness you have it all.

  28. The colours work really well in that first collage. That mushroom certainly looks a little mysterious with the pattern of a butterfly.

  29. Wow – what gorgeous shots! I really love that moon.

I felt like I was tagging along on your slow walk Sallie – beautiful irises in the first collage. Finding a butterfly imprint on a toadstool must have some fairy-like significance, don’t you think? 🙂
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.

  31. We were just in Florida and I captured that same moon. It is so much better than a Minnesota moon. Location, location location!

  32. Lovely shots. The butterfly mushroom….what a find!

  33. Hello Sallie., beautiful flowers and lovely moon captures! Have a happy day!

  34. Love the flowers and the moon! Its always better to walk slow and steady you see so much more along the way!

  35. So many beautiful pictures. Great post.

Dearest Sallie; Wow, BEAUTIFUL and GORGEOUS orchid from your neighborhood and I love the background color you added♡♡♡
Yes, amazing that the mushroom sure looks like having a butterfly’s self-portrait on it 🙂 Thanks and Happy you could have this wonderful ‘Slow Walks’ taking these great pictures for us☆☆☆
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*

  37. Wow what a glorious collection of colours and shapes. The framing of the beautiful mushroom design is exquisite.
And thank you so much for your recent delightful comments on my blogs – especially on the Scenic Weekends meme.

  38. We are way behind in the UK Midlands. Only my miniature daffs have flowered, and ONE miniature grape hyacinth! Everything is late this year-and my car windows were iced over again today! The fuchsias are not even showing buds yet. ironically, the grass is growing and we cut my lawn:). It was sunny yesterday and again this morning-but cold.

  39. Beautiful pictures, at least I see some flowers. here is nothing in view !

  40. gorgeous collages! very cool butterfly ‘shroom impression! 🙂

  41. These are all so lovely, Sallie. I’m most entranced by the blue meditation, which is so gorgeous.

  42. Wonderful blues, purple and yellows in that first collage. The second one has lovely bright pinks and greens. And that hushroom imprint is amazing.

  43. Wow, wonderful captures Sally! Indeed, that mushroom has an interesting (artsy) design! Thanks for commenting – I went back to my first solution – that everyone clicks on the title of the post and then the comment form appears, because for all the comments to show up on my email, will clog it up too much (and too confusing:) )
    Have a great week!

  44. Every photo is glorious!

  45. What a wonderful series Sallie, small to great wonders, I enjoyed them all! Thanks as always for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro ♥
