"Sweetbay Trail" is one of the loops you can take in the preserve. The sweetbay is a wild magnolia. Hope they bloom while we're here.

This palm looked very Christmasy with its natural garland. 
The lizard is well-camouflaged on this dead palm frond. These fronds make a loud swishy sound when they fall. When you're walking in the quiet, it really makes you jump.
The forest floor — kind of a cross between forest and jungle actually.
