  12. What a landscape you have to enjoy! I’m still walking the trail behind my house early in the morning whenever I don’t have a hike or bike planned. It’s a good way to start the day. I don’t have water or ducks though…

  13. Ahhhhh… I would get out of bed earlier to see those views and meet the neighbors too…. Lovely Sallie… Oh, Doug Tallamy wrote one of THE book on planting native. He does give talks but is probably very busy….. Michelle

  20. To walk in such beauty early mornings must be so peaceful and hopeful, Sallie. These are very lovely photos.

  21. That first photo of the sky took my breath away!

  22. What a perfect way to start the day. I love that last cute bird!

  23. What a wonderful way to greet the day. Lovely photos my friend. It’s nice and green here right now and the temps have not been bad. Of course others have flooding which is terrible. We drove to the Gulf coast yesterday and saw water but not really bad flooding. Hugs, Diane

  26. Beautiful photos and mosaics, Sallie! I almost missed the little black swans, with my eyes all fixated on the green grass 🙂
The Golden Finch on the arch is very cool.
    Have a Great Week!
    Peace 🙂

  27. Beautiful as always Sallie! Thanks for your comment. I am still in Australia. Now I can use the computer of the library where my daughter works. It’s still quiet but in an hour or so there will be a crowd of schoolchildren.
    Have a nice week, Sallie.

  28. I love that first shot!

  29. Bless those you wake up early and enjoy the quietness of the world.

  30. I love to walk early. It starts the day in such a lovely way. it has been so beastly hot here that even first thing it is almost too hot for walking very far. Though I love summer, this heat makes me long for autumn.

  31. Love that first one. What a scene to start the day.

  32. Sunrise wins every time over sunset. At sunrise the whole day is ahead.
The sun goes down all too quick. At this time of the year we occasionally get a “pink” and magical morning.

  33. The morning shot of the wetlands is so peaceful! What a fantastic way to start the day, seeing that as well as all the wildlife. Hope you are enjoying cool temps now. Only 26 more days until I arrive in Portland (and cooler weather, I hope!). 🙂

  34. The very best way to start each and every day! It’s raining here.

  42. There is serenity in these photos. An early morning walk is like meditating and sets me off on the right foot (please excuse the pun) for the rest of the day.

  43. What gorgeous shots!
