‘TWEEN SEASONS

The flower baskets on every corner downtown are still lush and pretty …

But although we've been lucky to have warm weather and blue and cloudless skies for our move,  Autumn is definitely in the air:

And the season's  bounty is definitely featured at the corner market where we can "shop local.":

  2. Three lovely photographs and those flowers are so very pretty. Thanks for linking with Today’s Flowers and have a great week 🙂

  3. Nice combination of colors for fall.

  4. Beautiful petunias, Sallie. Mine are getting a little ragged around the edges but they are such a pretty apricot colour and I hate to abandon them. Perhaps I will move them around to the back garden and replace them with a fall arrangement Such a lovely season….

  5. Pie pumpkins calling your name! You’ve moved to a pretty place.

  6. it’s much like that just now over here too!

  13. We are far from falling into Fall. We have the very warmest summer this year (I think). I am so waiting for Fall colors to come to California. 😉 lovely images Sallie and oh the pumpkins though!

  14. Love it! Your colors are changing faster than ours, but, all in good time. I love that flower basket and you know me and the look of pumpkins.

  15. Gorgeous! I love autumn colours and they look great against the blue sky.

  16. You have moved.
And you have more time to enjoy life, and to take pictures, and to tell stories.

  17. We just put our pumpkins out. I bet you’ll be off for Florida soon!

  18. The petunias are gorgeous. September has been beautiful here in Scotland…..and the good weather continues….

  19. My dear Sallie, thank you for your kind comment. Yes, my life is winding down. Since there can be nothing done about my degenerating heart, the other organs, kidneys, liver and stomach have done the same and since with the back pressure on the live, the stomach does not work, it cannot uptake the medications to help the kindness and heart. A catch 22. Ir all causes so much pressure in my head that concentrating and seeing is no longer as easy as of yore. That is the reason I have not been blogging. Everything has just become too difficult especially with the liver causing constant nausea.
No matter, I have long been ready to go and have donated my remains to medical science.
When life is more difficult that leaving it, one welcomes the ultimate journey.
Meanwhile, I am engulfed with the heady scent of spring, wisteria, orange blossom, scented orchids and perfumed cyclamen in my bedroom. My daughter has been teaching around the world for the last 2+ months and I have missed he but had the chance to have private time with my eldest granddaughter. Everyone is so loving and kind to me and life is good.
I hope this is not a last goodby but to may be. Thank you for being my friend over the last 7 years, it was a lovely journey.

  20. Autumn is my favourite season, I am looking forward to seeing more of these colours 🙂

Dearest Sallie; Wonderful post with Beautiful color of flower and pumpkins for (coming) Autumn,Dear friend♪ I LOVED to read the phrase ‘the season’s bounty’♡♡♡
It is getting really comfortable in the morning and at night.
The weather seems easy on me, ‘well for my eye’s distorted condition’ I will have to get used to it(^^;) We have a saying that try to remind us that our physical condition tend to be deteriorated at the time of change of season. Haha, I should be and please take care of yourself ,my dear friend(♡˘◡˘♡) I am SO appreciated with your kind comments. So sorry that I miss visiting your former posts. Trying to catch up with friends.
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*

  22. Every time I see pumpkins, I think I need to go to a nearby orchard and I ham kind of stuck, but will suggest it to the husby~

  23. My balcony boxes are still blooming aplenty, though the trees have started to turn. I love the changing season, but I’m not looking forward to winter.

  24. Looks like here …. pumpkins ! I think I move to Australia where spring just started, lol !

  25. Lovely and autumnal!

  31. I really like that third picture. I don’t know why. May be the composition of red bricks and orange pumpkins. You are right — harvest is going on still but fall is definitely in the air.

  32. I like the perspective on your sky shot! Have a nice weekend.

  33. No more hanging pots in Breckenridge – they remove them late in Sept – even though they’re still pretty. Looking a lot like the end of fall here at altitude. We were in Denver yesterday, and fall hasn’t really started there. Enjoy your new home!

  34. love the colors you get to see!

  35. Adore the colours in each photo. The little cart of healthy foods is stunning.
