Found this little bit of Autumn Sunshine still blooming out at Alvadore (in our daughter's and son-in-law's yard).

Such a perfect color for the season. So I decided to look through my archives to see what other Halloween-colored flowers I could find.

I don't think I've posted this one before.  It's from Florida and most certainly wasn't taken this time of year.  But it's a good color for it.

 This one is from Shore Acres State Park in Bandon (on the Oregon Coast) taken in another — less busy — year.

    They are so beautiful, Sallie ! This time of the year is wonderful, here too. Moutains become every day more and more yellow and red and last flowers are blooming in the garden too : pink roses, blue ipomée, violet asters… I love them !

    Thahks for your comment on my latest book review. I agree with you – lots of photo bloggers just want to spread joy and I t hink that’s a great thing! But when it comes to poets, many of those who don’t engage with issues are just caught up in their own misery. There aren’t too many cheerful poets spreading joy, or perhaps that’s just in Scotland…..

    Re your comment about “our area”: It is different in that we don’t have as much humidity, and we do get cooler and sometimes we get a few trees with color – but they are actually few and far between. Our morning temp today was 57!
