An anhinga spreads his wings in the sunshine.
A swamp plant casts big shadows. I thought this was a water lily that hadn't bloomed yet, but learned it never opens any further than this. Sadly, I can't remember what else we learned about this plant — including its name.

a while back, last year sometime…i did a post FILLED with all kinds of shadow pictures around the yard & property.
shadows are cool. mysterious.

The wings don’t seem to match the rest of its body. Striking color of the wings.
Nice shots. I’d love to revisit the Everglades, about 30 years ago I spent a couple of nights in a cabin accessible only by the airboats that people use around there.
